The inspection of imported food (including tableware) is conducted to verify whether food products produced overseas comply with Korea’s food safety standards and regulations. This inspection is overseen by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), and if the items are deemed compliant, a “Certificate of Import Declaration for Food, etc.” is issued. After the customs import declaration is completed, the food (or tableware) can be brought into Korea.
