Export Customs Clearance

Export Customs Clearance

Overview of Export Customs Clearance

Export refers to the act of sending domestic goods abroad. In a broad sense, it includes the entire process from signing an export contract with an overseas buyer, manufacturing the goods, proceeding with the export declaration, loading onto the means of transport, to receiving payment.
Once the export declaration is accepted, the goods must be physically shipped by being loaded onto the transport vehicle within the prescribed period from the date of acceptance. Under the Foreign Trade Act, the scope of exports is not limited to physical goods but also includes services and intangible items in electronic form.
